Cricket is considered a religion in our country and cricketers are treated like a God, so today we are sharing the latest news to all the fans of cricket. The news is that Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli has announced that he will step down from the captaincy of the Indian team in this format after the T20 World Cup is to be held next month.

Virat Kohli's Open later

Virat Kohli has written a letter to the whole world about his decision and in this letter, he has written that he will no longer captain the Indian team in T20 format due to the high workload and more on his batting. So here very interesting thing is that he has posted this letter on social media (Twitter), it is being discussed in the whole country, why did Virat Kohli take such a step? Was there more work pressure on him? he was getting tired, or has he been asked to resign now.

Big Reasons:

Virat Kohli's debut in the Indian cricket team was in the year 2008 but he got the captaincy of the Test cricket team in the year 2014 for the first time when Mahendra Singh Dhoni suddenly retired from Test cricket. Three years later, in 2017, he also became the captain of the ODI team and then the T20 team. He had become the captain of the Indian team in all three formats of cricket by the time of 2017.

But today Virat Kohli has taken the decision, there can be two big reasons behind it. He is being told two reasons for this, firstly he is under pressure due to his current performance, and secondly, he was also under a lot of pressure regarding captaincy. That is, he was under pressure even about a batsman, he was also under pressure about such a batsman and captaincy and further, I will tell you what other pressures were going on in his mind.

VIRAT KOHLI | THE MOST SUCCESSFUL UNFORTUNATE CAPTAIN:

Virat Kohli has played international matches in all three formats of cricket in which he has scored 23 thousand 93 runs so far and he has also scored 70 centuries. But it is also a point that not a single century has come from his bat since November 2000. the last century he scored was in November 2019. Imagine such a big player who has scored 70 centuries, he is struggling for a century for the last one and a half years.

It is believed by Virat Kohli that he can break Sachin Tendulkar's world record of hundred centuries and he is the closest to him, but with his current performance, it seems difficult now, and perhaps that is the reason why Virat Kohli has now stopped his batting.

Ups and Down in Virat Kohli Captaincy:

Virat Kohli has felt that the real future he has is as a batsman, people expect him to break Sachin Tendulkar's world record one day and this will not happen until then. Till he does not lighten the burden of captaincy on himself. You will remember that Sachin Tendulkar had also become the captain of the Indian team at one point in time, then there was a lot of pressure on him and later he also left the captaincy and decided that now he will focus only on his batting and later on he started batting.

If all kinds of world records were made, it may be that if Sachin had not left the captaincy at that time, then perhaps his batting would have been affected more, and perhaps after learning from there, Virat Kohli would have decided that now concentrated on his batting. As a captain, Virat Kohli has faced many challenges, so it is not because he has not pointed fingers at his captaincy.

In 2017, under his captaincy, the Indian team lost in the final to Pakistan in the ODI Champions Trophy. Under the captaincy of Virat Kohli, the Indian team has not won a single ICC trophy so far. Under his captaincy, the Indian team has recently lost in the final of the World Test Championship and even in the IPL, he has never been able to win the Royal Challengers Bangalore, so questions are being raised on his captaincy.

Questions have been raised on the captain's style of captaincy. They have already taken it so the big thing which we talked to a lot of people today is that it came to know that T20 World Cup is going to be held in October next month. It was going to happen and with the kind of atmosphere that was being created, it seemed to Virat Kohli that if the Indian team does not win this World Cup, then his captaincy will be in danger.

BCCI was already putting pressure on them. You must have seen that recently a lot of news was coming in the newspapers. Virat Kohli has also read and has started harboring an imaginary fear inside him that the pressure has come upon him that he may lose the captaincy if he does not win the World Cup.

It would be better if he announces before the World Cup that he will leave the captaincy after the end of the World Cup and this is what he did, now he will be able to play in this World Cup with peace and tension-free.

BCCI Captaincy Formula is it Working?

BCCI was discussing making a separate captain in every format and even before that Virat Kohli took this decision. For the first time in cricket, this formula came in the year 1997.

At that time the captain of both the Test and ODI teams of Australia was Mark Taylor, after which former Australian cricketer Steve Waugh was made the captain of the ODI team to reduce his burden and after this, he was given the captaincy of Steve Waugh in 99 ODIs by Australia. Cricket World Cup was also won. This formula has been adopted in India but it did not last long.

Even today, India is the only country where the captain of T20 ODI and Test teams is the same and that captain in all three formats is Virat Kohli. Whereas the teams around the world are now experimenting that they want to have a different team and a different captain in every format.

Who will be the next captain of Team India?

Virat Kohli is 32 years old. Now it is being said that after his departure, who will become the next captain, then the biggest name that is coming out is that of Rohit Sharma. Rohit Sharma could be the next captain and he has given a hint in his letter.

As per his letter, Virat Kohli has written that it took him a long time to take this decision in his team because the decision was not easy and for this, he thought a lot and did a lot of discussions with people who were close to him. Then he writes that he discussed with Ravi Shastri (the coach of the Indian team). He is writing that I spoke with Ravi Shastri and I spoke with Rohit as well.

Regarding this decision, wrote further that Ravi Shastri and Rohit were also part of the Avada Leadership Group and I. Or what you have to understand is that writing Rohit Sharma's name here and saying that he has had a discussion with Rohit Sharma and that Rohit Sharma and Ravi Shastri are part of the leadership group.

In a way maybe they are giving a hint that Now if Rohit Sharma will be the next captain, then who will get the captaincy, for these three names are discussed the most, first Rohit Sharma is more likely that Rohit Sharma will become the captain.

Second, it is KL Rahul and third is Rishabh time, which can be groomed, then Rohit Sharma will not be able to do this work for more than a couple of years. By the time he is 35-36 years old, the time will come for him to retire and currently KL Rahul is only 29 years old, so in the long term, if you see, KL Rahul can be a good contender, and always that Pant is only 23 years old.

This team is going to retire after the World Cup and their term will end. This can be a big factor behind this decision of Virat Kohli because Virat Kohli and Ravi Shastri are considered very close to each other. Both work in tandem and once Ravi Shastri is out, it could be a problem for Virat Kohli. Apart from this, former captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has just been made the mentor of Team India.
