In which fields are women ahead of men nowadays?

International Women's Day was celebrated across the world last month on the 8th of March. During this many surveys and research and studies related to women came out. In these, much new information related to the importance of women also came to the fore. The process of these reports revealing the merits of women is continuously going on.

The most recent research has come out of the University of Paris, in which researchers, after researching 5 lakh students up to the age of 15 from 72 countries, including countries of the previous generation, have claimed that girls admit to being less talented if they fail in the exam. They feel guilty, but instead of doing so, the boys make excuses and blame the failure on their luck or start counting some other reason.

It was a matter of admitting one's fault, but in another report, a very shocking disclosure has been made about women. According to research by CRIF High Mark Credit Information Services and TransUnion CIBIL, lending to women is safer than to men and is also confirmed by banks. Because of this, the number of women borrowers has increased faster than men in the last few years.

In the last five years, the number of female borrowers has grown at a rate of 19%, while that of male borrowers has grown at a rate of only 14%. Women are ahead of men in terms of taking loans as well as repaying loans. According to research by TransUnion CIBIL, 6.9% of men delay loan repayments by more than 90 days, while only 5.2% of women are late repaying loans. The average credit score of women is also claimed to be higher than that of men.

Women prefer to take gold loans, consumer loans, and personal loans. According to research, taking loans from women can prove to be very beneficial for the economy and social development of the country. This is the right sign in the direction of a five trillion dollar economy. Along with this, experts are also claiming to be more helpful in bringing women forward on occasions like Women's Day.

A woman should be empowered. Women entrepreneurs do a significant effect on our country's GDP. According to this study by McKenzie, if equal opportunity is given to the women workforce by 2025, then our country's GDP can grow by more than 18%. Along with this economic development, there will also be social development. Peace happiness, joyfulness, all these will come automatically.

Women have sense. They can handle many types of problems together. If they like time management, then because of their sensitivity, hard work, and time management skills, they are getting more opportunities now and their contribution is also increasing to the growth of the country's companies towards the growth.

Earlier reports had claimed that women have power in the gym business. Such businesses are more successful than men-dominated businesses. That is, based on reports describing women as more responsible and successful from all sides, the claim that there is a need to increase the participation of women in every field to increase the pace of economic growth.

Why are women leaving jobs?

A large number of women are leaving jobs in India after the Corona period. This is claimed by the professional networking site LinkedIn. It said that due to salary cut discrimination and lack of flexibility, women are leaving or considering leaving their jobs this year. According to LinkedIn research, 83% of working women have felt that they want to work more flexibly due to the impact of the pandemic.

Research has said that 72% of working women are rejecting a job where they cannot work flexibly. Whereas 70% of women have already quit or are considering quitting. Experts believe that after Corona, there has been a change in the priorities of the people. In such a situation, due to facilities like walking from home, women have got ample opportunity to pay attention to home and office.

But now if companies eliminate such facilities, then they think it better to look for new jobs. Women themselves have also given some kind of reasoning for leaving the job. According to the survey, 40% of women said that flexibility creates a better balance between their work and personal life and helps them to move forward in their careers.

Whereas 33% of women said that flexibility helps them to maintain their mental health. This increases their chances of staying in their current jobs. It is clear from this report that companies have to be prepared that they have to keep their policies flexible if they do not want to lose their best talent. LinkedIn has prepared this report based on the opinions of 2,266 women.

Are women employees discriminated against in terms of wages?

If we talk about working women, then there is a huge difference in the workforce participation rate between women and men in India. This means that say 100 women can work, but only 10 of them can do it. In 2012, the workforce participation rate for women 15 and above was 20.3%, while that of men was 76%.

That is, only one woman out of every 5 capable of doing a job can work, then many such women in our country can do work, but they do not get work. It is also important because if the participation of women increases, then in the next five years, India's GDP can increase by $ 770 billion, or INR 54,00,000 crore.

There is a huge gap between the salary of women and men in India. In 2018, the average salary of an hour for men in the organized sector was INR 242.50. Suppose that is approximately INR 243.0, and the women used to get around ₹196 for an hour's work. That is, men get an average of INR 46 more for every hour than women. Men in the IT sector get 26% more salaries than women, while in the manufacturing sector this figure is 24%.

Only 3.7% of Women are CEO of the listed companies on the National Stock Exchange. This figure is for 2019, whereas in 2014, this number was 3.2%. That is, there has been an increase of only 0.5% in these five years. If we talk about the whole world, in 2020, where men get 100 US dollars for the same work, women will get 81 US dollars for the same work.

That is, the effect is in our country. This is what is happening all over the world. Imagine if it happens someday that the women of the country stop doing household chores, what will happen? What you will think about and what you will do that day? Believe me, it will not be an ordinary day for men and think. What if after doing all this work, you have to go to your office and do your work too?

To begin with, we would like to tell the men of our country that by doing this work one day a week, see that you prepare everything from morning tea to evening dinner on that day and also do your office work and see how it feels. Something similar happened in 1975 when 90% of Iceland's women refused to cook, clean, and take care of children for a day on 24 October. The effect of this announcement on women was that suddenly the whole country came to a standstill.

Our motive behind telling all this is that if the male-dominated society comes to underestimate the work of women. Whether a woman works in a company or has the same attitude towards her at home, then this is the reason that even if the matter is equalized, in the matter of salary or promotion, women employees lag as compared to male employees. and it is happening continuously everywhere.

For example, In India, the salary of women is 19% less than that of men. Men's hourly salary is INR 242 and women's hourly salary for the same work is INR 196. If seen, there is a difference of about INR 46 in the average salary of men and women per hour. We had told you this figure a while back also, so we are telling you so that you can remember it. If you think that only India's problem is also wrong.

The same difference is going on all over the world and in developed countries also there is a huge difference between the salary of women and that of men. In a country like America, women get an average of 18% less salary than men. In Australia, this figure is less than 13%. Women working at the level of directors in the UK finance sector are paid up to 66% less than men.

37% of working women in the country get fewer opportunities than men. Women also get less salary than men. 22% of women admit that women employees are given less importance than men, which has to face discrimination. The corona pandemic has had a greater impact on Indian working women than on women working abroad.

Challenges have also emerged regarding the care of children because of the work from home. At present, it can be a boon for many people, but due to this, the problems of working mothers have also increased. Working women say that they have to face discrimination in the office due to family and domestic responsibilities. Too big you can't extend. This is also a reason why he doesn't like taking women, they think that she won't work long hours and odd hours.

Private companies may say that women employees are not discriminated against, but the truth seems different from this. The constitution of the country talks about equality of opportunities without any discrimination, but most private companies find ways in which discrimination is done by considering women employees as weaker than men. The trouble is that this discrimination is difficult to prove legally.

The biggest challenge for women working in the office is to strike a balance between family and office. In this case, male employees have taken this opportunity because they can stay in the office for a long time. But this is not possible for women because of the security and the responsibilities of their family with most of the women. It is not a matter of productivity between the male and female employees, it is a matter of thinking that men are superior and women are underestimated. Whose end is necessary.

Why do we celebrate International Women's Day?

Now we will talk about, why the whole world celebrates women’s day. This matter dates back to 1908 when 15000 women in New York City of America went on strike on 8 March for equal pay. The second year in memory of this, the Socialist Party of America celebrated National Women's Day.

And this was followed by a conference in Copenhagen in 1910, in which 100 women from 17 countries attended, and after this in 1911, International Women's Day was celebrated in Austria, Denmark, Germany, and Switzerland. And since then it started all over the world.
