The crash tests of cars made in India will be done on an Indian scale through Bharat NCAP:

Discussions are going on for a long time about the manufacture of safe cars in India. The safety of cars made in India has been continuously questioned and most of the models made in India do not perform well in crash tests. Currently, cars made in India have to go through the crash test of Global NCAP, It is mandatory for all cars which are sold in India. But the Indian government has taken a big decision-related NCAP.

Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari announced that the government has approved the draft of the Bharat New car assessment program (Bharat NCAP). Mr. Nitin Gadkari has given this information to the Indians through Twitter. This means that now the crash tests of cars made in India will be done on an Indian scale through India. Soon India will give crash test ratings to NCAP vehicles.

This new indigenous cross-rating system will be launched this year and the rules related to it will be applicable from next year. Mr. Nitin Gadkari wrote in his tweet that I have adapted the testing protocol of Bharat NCAP to the Global NCAP Test Protocol by incorporating existing Indian rules. OEM companies will be able to test their vehicles at their testing facilities in India with this testing protocol.

Mr. Nitin Gadkari said that Bharat NCAP will act as a consumer-centric platform and with the help of this platform, the manufacturing of safe vehicles will be encouraged. Along with this, it will also help in increasing the export of Indian cars. It is being told that India's NCAP will be more strict and better than the international rules. The car manufacturers will have to pay charges for this crash test.

Front and side crash tests will be included during this test. In addition, an accident Rating will also be given on how easy the rescue will be. As you know, the Government of India has already made it clear that from this year six airbags will be mandatory in cars and vehicles will also have to be equipped with an advanced emergency braking system.

Apart from this, three-points seat belts have also been made mandatory for all front-facing passengers in cars. Electronic stability control features have also been made mandatory. It is worth noting that Global NCAP has an international agency for rating safety, but after the introduction of Bharat NCAP, testing will become easier for India.

Will this year's record broken sales of cars?

Good days are about to start for the auto sector. Auto industry, troubled by inflation, is now getting relief. Record sales of cars are expected this year. Buyers expect to get its benefits in the form of discounts or offers. Over the past three years, the country's auto industry has faced several difficulties, including a lack of brake semiconductors and other components in the raw material supply chain and expensive fuels.

But now the prices of steel , aluminum, copper, and  palladium have come down by 10 to 20%. These metals account for 70% of the car's making. The carmaker will now have more profits and they will be able to offer more discounts to the customers. With this effect, 33.5 to 35.5 lakh cars can be sold this year, which can break the record of sales of 32.8 lakh cars in 2017-18.

However, all the car companies have hiked prices several times in recent months, and they will not cut prices because of the huge demand. The reason for this is that the backlog of cars in the country is more than 6 lakhs. Of these, the maximum waiting time of about 3 lakh cars is in Maruti Suzuki. Due to the reduction in excise on petrol and diesel, their prices have come down and buyers' sentiment has improved.

The problem of production has also been reduced by eliminating the shortage of semi-conductors to a great extent. This trend of growth in sales is expected to continue. The reason for this is the statement of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari in which he has assured that the price of petrol and electric cars will be equal throughout the year. Companies associated with the electric industry also believe that the growth of the automobile sector can accelerate due to the equalization of prices of petrol and electric cars.

This will reduce inflation and now that this announcement has come to the fore, based on which further prices may come down and the progress of electric vehicles may increase further, it is a very good move for the entire industry. On the other hand, the Indian Auto LPG Coalition, an organization of other clean fuel vehicles, is welcoming it, but they demand that the government should provide equal opportunities for all types of clean fuel including LPG machinery.

We have more clean fuel. Like auto became LPG, which became CNG, like bio fuel. Let us also look at all these engines in the same way that these fuels can have a good effect on our environment today and we can also use them from the taxi sector wherever we will use that fuel so that these whole sectors will be together for a better environment. If the government will give equal concessions on all the targets, then along with the growth of the auto industry, the customers will also get the benefit.

We hope you like the article on the important announcement from the Indian government for Auto-sector. What is your reaction to this decision of the Government of India? Please comment on our website www.tradeipohub.co.in. Thanks for reading.
