Will TikTok come back to India again?

TikTok is once again preparing to enter India with a bang. Byte Dance, which owns the hugely popular short video sharing app in the country, is looking for a new partner to relaunch the app in India. Currently, the preparation of TikTok to come to India is in its early stages, but it is believed that the fans of TikTok can get to hear good news soon.

TikTok was banned in June 2020 and is now going to make a comeback in India after two years. Soon you will be able to play TikTok on your phone again. You will be able to use the TikTok app. Ever since TikTok was banned in India, its parent company Byte Dance was making a lot of efforts to bring back TikTok in India, but the team could not find a way.

According to reports, Byte Dance is in early talks with Mumbai-based real estate group Hiranandani for a partnership in India. Hiranandani Group is the largest real estate developer. Hiranandani Group also does data-related work under Yotta infrastructure solutions and recently they have launched Tez Platforms, in which the company will invest ₹ 3500 crore.

Apart from this, information related to this has also been given informally to the government. Byte Dance has also released vacancies for several positions in India these days, which indicates that the company may soon bring back TikTok in India. Interestingly, just two years after the ban in India, the news of the return of TikTok has come to the fore.

In India, in June 2020, the government banned a total of 59 Chinese apps including TikTok. At that time it was said that these Chinese apps were misusing the data of Indian users by collecting it. The government said that the data store of TikTok was being used by China. But now to remove this concern, ByteDance will store its data in India itself, so then it is a good thing going forward.

After this, another popular gaming app Pubg mobile was also banned, but last year as a replacement for the Pubg mobile game Krafton launched Battle Ground, Mobile India i.e. BGMI in India. On some similar lines, ByteDance has once again started planning the relaunch of TikTok in India.

TikTok had 200 million users in ByteDance India. In that now all these users have become 2 to 3 lakhs. China-based short video app TikTok may have been banned in India, but its popularity around the world is not stopping. TikTok has become the most downloaded app in 2022. At the same time, in terms of earnings also, this app remains at the number one position.
