Tata Group is planning to increase its penetration in the FMCG business by buying Ramesh Chauhan's stake in Bisleri International. The Tata group is currently planning to buy a stake in Bisleri, which can be increased gradually. The Tata Group is very serious about the packaged drinking water business. Bisleri already has a network of retail outlets, institutional channels, hotels, restaurants, and airports across the country. Tata may enter the packaged drinking water business by buying a stake in Bisleri International. 

Apart from bulk water delivery, Bisleri Mineral Water is in a strong position on all these channels. According to the report, Bisleri has more than 150 manufacturing plants and a network of more than 4000 distributors with 5000 trucks across India. The packaged drinking water market in the country is worth ₹ 20,000 crore, of which 60% is unorganized, and Bisleri has a 32% market share.

It has its own app Bisleri@doorstep for the delivery of products directly to the consumers. Apart from 250 ml to one-liter bottle, there is also a bulk pack of 20 liters. Tata Consumers of the Tata Group, till this time selling Tetley tea, eight o'clock coffee, Tata soulful, salt and oil, besides running a Starbucks café. Apart from this, the Tata group is also preparing to make an iPhone. 

For this, the Tata Group is in talks with a Taiwanese supplier of Apple. Tata plans to build it through a joint venture. According to the news, Tata is in talks with Taiwanese company Wistron. If the deal is done between the two, then Tata will be the first company in the country to make an iPhone. The iPhones are currently largely assembled by Foxconn and Wistron at their plants in China and India.

Then the doctors thought that why not start their business with the Bisleri concept in India and thus Bisleri was born in India.

If Tata Group and Wistron jointly assemble the iPhone in the country, then it will prove to be a big setback for China. China's dominance in electronics manufacturing hardly faces a bigger challenge than anywhere else. Since covid, companies around the world are either completely removing their business from China or shifting a part of it to another country. India and Vietnam will be the biggest beneficiary of this opportunity.

However, Tata's deal with Wistron has not been finalized yet and talks are also going on. It is also being told that the Tata Group may take a stake in Wistron's business in India. There is only a possibility that the two companies will start a new plant together, where the iPhone is manufactured. You would know that Apple wants to start manufacturing of iPhone 14 in India in the next 2 to 3 months. 

Thus Apple does not want to rely completely on China for the manufacturing of its products. There are also plans to make five times more iPhones than now through the new venture. Later on, Tata Wistron can start manufacturing other Apple products together. Tata Group Chairman N. Chandrasekaran says that the company's focus is on electronics and hi-tech manufacturing. The revenue of the Tata Group is about $ 128 billion.

Wistron has been making iPhones in India since 2017, but the company's Indian business is going through a loss. In such a situation, Tata Group can prove to be helpful for him. Well, apart from all this, if Tata Group and Wistron come together, then there will be good growth for iPhones in India. China will face trade challenges. This will create new jobs in India.
