What is happening in China?

China's economic situation is getting worse. The bad news is coming from China every day. A big concern in China is that big company like Apple have started removing their units from China. Recently, a report said that by 2025, every fourth iPhone in the world would be made in India. This is the reason why Foxconn and Wistron are expanding their plants in India. Recession in the real-estate sector is China's second biggest concern.

A report says that the zero covid policy is posing a big threat to the recovery of China's real-estate sector. In recent times, several measures have been announced to bail out the Chinese property market from the recession, but these measures are proving to be insufficient. Economists have increased China's growth forecast for 2022.

Some have even expressed apprehension about it remaining up to 2.7%. The Chinese government had set a target of 5.5% growth for this year, which seems impossible. In September, China's currency Yuan went to a 14-year low. In August, China announced a package of 1,00,000 crore yuan i.e. about $ 230 billion.

So small businesses, infrastructure, and the corporate sector could be given a boost, but these measures were not able to give a boost to the Chinese economy. China's giant tech company has come to the root of the recession. Tencent's profit is 50% in the most recent quarter, while Alibaba's rating has come down to half. It is also affecting jobs.

Thousands of people have lost their jobs. Overall, the situation on the economic front in China is not under control. The rebellion in Apple's factory is testifying to this. If China is not able to solve any policy and other economic matters soon, then it will not be able to avoid going into a big recession.

Protest against lockdown intensifies in China:

China is probably going through its worst phase. The situation is such that China could be on the verge of a major recession. China's zero covid policy has affected the global supply chain, but the people of China themselves are most troubled by it. The people here are so upset that they have now started coming out on the streets.

It is not easy to protest against dictatorship in China, but people are so fed up with the policies of the government here that now they are openly expressing their protest. The youth are leading this protest. Protesters are demanding Xi Jinping step down, we want freedom, people want freedom from zero covid policy restrictions, some such slogans are being raised, and sloganeering is being seen.

This demonstration, which started in Beijing, has now reached 13 big cities. Police are arresting people to stop them, but people's anger is not ending. People have been protesting on the streets since Sunday night. This demonstration of the people is not limited to covid restrictions only, but now the people here are also demanding Freedom of the Press, Freedom of Expression, and Freedom of Movement.

It is not an easy thing to protest against the government in a country like China. Protesters are often severely punished. The repressive policy is used to suppress their voice. Despite all this news, people have now taken to the streets and are demanding the removal of Xi Jinping. Now let us tell you why these protests are taking place and how they started.

In fact, since the time Corona was detected, there has been a lockdown-like situation in China for most of the time. Zero covid policy has been adopted in China to deal with Corona, which is said to be very strict and due to this a crisis of livelihood has arisen for the people. Under this policy, such steps are taken as forcibly testing people, and not allowing people to leave the house.

Due to China's strict lockdown, more than 66 lakh people have been imprisoned in their homes. These people cannot go out for food items and the daily covid test is also increasing their displeasure. Strict action is being taken against those who are not following the rules of the government. The reason for these protests is the crumbling economy here along with the covid.

It's also a big reason that China's economy seems to be faltering. China gave loans to many countries and most of the money was lost. Many projects have collapsed under China's Belt and Road Initiative i.e. BRI. The investment of crores of rupees in China has sunk or is sinking and because of this, the condition of Chinese banks is bad.

China's real estate industry, which contributes much of its GDP, is in ruins. People do not have money to pay the EMI of their homes. Many people refused to give EMI to the banks and due to this all the immovable property, there was completely ruined. The protests taking place in China have also got the support of overseas Chinese students. Various protests also took place in cities in Asia and North America.

So overall what is happening in China is not always visible. It is said to be unprecedented for such protests to come out of a country like China where the media is limited and selectively reported. Only works on state-sponsored media. Therefore, the arrival of such news is no less than a surprise, but along with being shocked, the world is also worried.

However, China has been repeatedly calling it propaganda against itself. But these pictures and videos of anti-China forces have come, it has forced the whole world to think about what is going on in China after all. Are these protests happening on the streets in China? Someone will bring a big threat to the power there, especially Xi Jinping.

Will this protest grow from here and become a headache for Xi Jinping? Such discussions have started now and they are now being discussed all over the world. The biggest reason is China's zero covid policy. What we told you is very strict. In the news that is being received, people have protested in their favor, but when the government did not agree and the administration did not agree, now people started coming to the streets.
