post-menopause women in their year-long study.
In their research, scientists collected data related to
it during the three, sixth, nine, and 12 months. It found that, on average,
women with the high-risk genotype increased liver stress by almost 80% after
nine months of taking green tea supplements. While the same enzyme was seen to
be up to 30% higher in people with a low-risk genotype, the genotype is a
genetic trait that is inherited from a parent. It varies from person to person.
In such a situation, how much the liver is affected by
the antioxidants of green tea, also depends on the genotype. Let us tell you
that green tea also contains caffeine. One cup of green tea contains 12 mg of
caffeine. Its excessive consumption has a bad effect on health. Excess caffeine
can also lead to problems like dizziness, lack of sleep, nausea, vomiting, and
restlessness.
